I have managed projects in the private sector and government and on a volunteer basis for over 40 years and have a broad range of experience. I am best known for my organizational and writing skills. I want to take these skills and help individuals, such as musicians, artists, and similar, who are new to the business world and who work for themselves, promote their skills and/or services through basic websites and social media as well as assist them in setting up simple and straight forward processes for tracking income, expenses, and documenting for tax and other purposes what was done. I want to do this in a way that my clients can maximize their income and keep their business expenses to a minimum.
Officially, I am a Certified Public Manager. My career included speaking engagements at the local and national levels. I received my B.S in Computer Science (minors in mathematics and English) Summa Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi in 1977. While at Ole Miss, I received the Taylor Medal and Citation in Computer Science and was Class Marshall of the School of Engineering Class of 1977.
Steve and I are active members of First Baptist Jackson where I have served in a number of leadership and volunteer roles. I am a member of the Sanctuary Choir and Sanctuary Orchestra and serve as a member of the Production Team for special programs including Carols By Candlelight and Let Freedom Ring. I have served as a missions volunteer locally, nationally and internationally, most recently serving as Team Leader for Russia 2019 where our team participated in the sharing the Gospel through the festival of Epiphany Nights. I also manage social media for the choir and orchestra, am the Administrator for the Academy of Arts and serve in other ministry areas. I have done similar social media work for a couple of non profits.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching baseball and taking lessons and playing my cello.
Let me know how I can help you.
